Creighton Model FertilityCare for Fertility Awareness

Creighton Model FertilityCare teaches women to identify the biological markers of their menstrual cycle to positively identify times of fertility and infertility and monitor their hormonal health.  Women can then make informed, deliberate choices with their partners regarding achievement or avoidance of pregnancy.

Cycle charting can also help detect common menstrual cycle problems such as PMS, PCOS, heavy bleeding or cramping, endometriosis, or ovarian cysts.

Creighton Method charting is based on standardized training that starts with an Introductory Session which introduces people to the charting system. Then training continues with a series of eight individual Follow Up Sessions, where patients are coached on how to make and chart daily observations, and how that information can be used for their specific family planning needs.

If you can learn to knit, you can learn Creighton charting, and have a system that will work throughout your reproductive life.  Without side effects.

Creighton Model FertilityCare for Infertility

Many couples struggle in silence and frustration with infertility, miscarriage or pre-term birth when they don’t need to. Common hormonal imbalances such as hypothyroidism, irregular bleeding or PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) often result in fertility problems, but go undiagnosed and treated in conventional medicine. Oral contraceptives may themselves suppress fertility after they are withdrawn, and couples are often told that artificial Assisted Reproduction therapies such as IUI and IVF are their most reasonable or only option to conceive.  This is simply not true.

Dr. Trevorrow uses a combination of Creighton Method cycle charting, classic Naturopathic therapies, and NaPro Technology to help couples pinpoint causes of female (or male) fertility problems.  Charting can improve the accuracy of diagnostic testing and give the couple reassurance that what they are doing is working, or whether further investigations need to be done.  It isn’t a cookbook approach, but one that works co-operatively with women’s natural hormonal cycles to fix the cause of the problem—and rehumanize the process of conceiving children.

Introductory Session

The first step in training in the Creighton is to attend a 60 minute Introductory Session.

At the end of the session you have a basic understanding of the Creighton Method, and be able to begin charting.

When you're ready to start, we will send you home with charts, stamps, and a booklet that explains the system and some frequently encountered questions when trying to chart for the first time.

Follow up Session

The real value of the Creighton program compared to many online or paper apps is that you will have a trained Creighton Practitioner or Supervised Intern (Dr. Trevorrow is currently a Creighton Intern) coaching you through eight Follow up Sessions, so that you can learn and feel confident in your charting.

Over the eight sessions, the information gathered in your personal CRMS chart will show how your menstrual cycles are in or out of balance, which will help you and your practitioner make decisions about treatments, as needed.
